The trend towards mobile convergence has caught the Indian market and consumers are increasingly using mobile internet applications to lead their digital lifestyles. 30 per cent of users access networking sites from their mobile phones alone from India. Around 14.5 million users accessed social networking sites via applications.
As per a statement, Samsung is encouraging developers to create ‘Made for India apps’. Samsung is working actively with over 800 application developers in India for enriching their application portfolio focused on Made for India applications. There have already been over three million downloads of bada applications from customers in India.
